Would your business survive if this happened to you?

Picture this, you have a successful online business that is making multiple five to six figures a month.

You are using third-party software to host your funnel and you are more than satisfied with the service you are receiving.

Now imagine one day you log in to your back office and see that over the past 60 days you have made no income.

The reason is that you missed the email that was sent to inform you about an update that if ignored would result in your funnel being shut down and deleted.

What would your next steps be?

How would you reach out to your audience and customers?

Would your business survive?

If the first thing you thought was this would never happen to me.

You need to know that the scenario described above happened to a close friend who has been working in the online space for decades.

I happened to be on a call with him when he logged into his back office to see that software changes had resulted in the loss of multiple six figures as well as deleting his most complex and successful funnel.

I could see and hear the panic as he tried to figure out what was going on.

When he realized that the software updated and wiped out his funnel I could tell that he was in shock.

Then something really interesting happened.

My friend got quiet for a couple of minutes and then said what resources do I have now that I didn't have when I created the funnel.

The next thing he said made me realize that while he had lost a core part of his business he would not be starting from square one and would easily be able to recoup at least some if not all of the lost income.

He said I have more resources than I did when I started using the funnel so I can easily rebuild it.

How can that be if all of the data had been deleted?

Well, my friend is very smart and made sure that he had multiple opportunities for his customers to subscribe to his email list.

Not only that, but he made sure to backup and export his email list so that if there was a software failure or other issue that he would not lose his business.

The intent of this story was not to scare you but to serve as a reminder that your email list is a powerful resource that could one day save your business.
